Introducing Stoka wine
The entire homestead occupies 30 hectares, of which there are 10 hectares of vineyards and a total of 45.000 vines, all harvested by hand. The vineyards are planted with Refosco, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malvasia, Chardonnay and Vitovska Grganja.
Their cellars have a constant temperature of around 16°C throughout the year, and a total capacity of 80.000 liters. Aside from the cellars, they also have a degustation room, which can accommodate up to 45 people.
The story of winemaking has been written by the 6th generation of the Štoka family. The brand Štoka was introduced to the wider market in 1989, when they started bottling the wines.
Winery Štoka is unique, especially because of the three underground cellars carved into living rock, where their wines achieve its distinction. Beside still wines, they also produce sparkling wines with the classic method, which are matured at least 3 years in a natural karst cave.
